Private client. Completed 2009. Les Corts, Barcelona.
The office was commissioned to redesign the interior layout of this 1970’s apartment in the Les Corts area of Barcelona to be both utilitarian and modern.
The proposal re-organizes the apartment to follow a new geometry that redefines the relationships between each space. It begins as a wall between two bedrooms and then transforms into a bespoke piece of furniture that defines the hall, bathroom and kitchen.
Its built character is consistent throughout the flat having been lovingly crafted and assembled by a group of enthusiastic and dedicated carpenters. With full height sliding doors the spaces can be fully closed off or left completely open as desired.
